In the wake of a recent ice storm that left many residents grappling with power outages and cold temperatures, the Millennium Room at the Asphodel-Norwood Community Centre continues to serve as a vital warming centre.
Residents in the area are being urged to take advantage of the facility, which remains open today until 9 p.m. to provide shelter, warmth, and food for those in need.
For residents closer to Peterborough, the city’s three warming centres will remain open through Friday, offering heat, showers, and meals in partnership with local organizations like the Salvation Army.
As the region recovers, the strength of our community continues to shine through in its commitment to keeping every resident warm, fed, and supported through this difficult time.
