It sure felt like a do-or-die game for the Napanee Raiders heading into tonight’s game 3 of their semifinal series against the Amherstview Jets, and boy did the Raiders not disappoint!
The Jets led 1-0 at the end of the first period thanks to a late goal. The Raiders would tie the game in the second period thanks to a goal by Trent Williams. Amherstview quickly scored their second goal of the night to regain their lead. Michael Patrick then went on to score twice to tie the game and give the Raiders a 3-2 lead. The Jets then tied the score with 1-second left in the second period. During the third period Michael Patrick scored his third of the night for the hat trick! That was followed with goals by Blake Aylesworth and Trent Williams for a 6-3 Raiders win! Shots on goal were 34-29 favouring the Raiders.
The Raiders are 5-2 so far in the playoffs and 1-2 in this series. Looking to the other Tod division matchup, Frankford is 5-1 in the playoffs and are now tied in their series with Lakefield 1-1.
