One person has died following a snowmobile collision in the City of Kawartha Lakes over the weekend.
Emergency crews responded to the collision on private property at around 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. Due to the severity of the woman’s injuries, an ORNGE air ambulance was called, requiring a temporary closure of Highway 7 near Cottingham Road for landing.
The driver of the snowmobile, a 50-year-old female of Peterborough, was pronounced deceased.
