Butcher faces several charges, including possession of property obtained by crime, unauthorized possession of firearms, and making or possessing explosives for an unlawful purpose.
He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Peterborough on Thursday.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and are asking anyone with information to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
