Mayor Lucas Cleveland was on hand at the Cobourg Legion last night to congratulate David Piccini on his re-election as MPP for Northumberland-Peterborough South.

Audio PlayerCleveland went on the say he’s seen Piccini fight hard for residents over the last two terms while supporting his party but always ensuring that support flows directly into Northumberland County.
Cleveland praised Piccini’s hard work in this election.
Audio PlayerGiven healthcare as one of the central issues in the election, we asked Cleveland for his take on the need for more family doctors in the county.
He says he recently spoke with the mayor of Orillia, who is looking at hiring doctors as city employees.
Audio PlayerCleveland says he hopes some ‘out of the box thinking’ will help solve the shortage, and looks forward to working with Piccini to that end.
He named Piccini a friend and said he looks forward to working with him for the duration of his term as mayor.
