The next presentation of the Cobourg and District Historical Society will feature Virginia McLaughlin and Rob Mikel Topic: Celebrating Lieutenant-Colonel John Weir Foote Cost: Members free, Guests $5, All are welcome ! Lieutenant-Colonel John Weir Foote was a Canadian military chaplain and politician who received the Victoria Cross for his actions during the 1942 Dieppe Raid. Born in Madoc, he eventually made his home in Cobourg.
