An investigation is continuing after a crash on Hwy. 401 in Brighton Thursday night, say police.
On Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, at about 7:50 p.m., police said they responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision on Hwy. 401 eastbound in the Municipality of Brighton.
“The caller advised a passenger vehicle had rolled in the centre median,” confirmed police, on the morning of Friday, Nov. 15, 2024.
EMS and Brighton Fire and Rescue also responded to the call.
Police said when they arrived on scene, they found an unoccupied and damaged vehicle.
The OPP’s canine unit and emergency response team were also called in to help with a search of the area, but no one was found in relation to the vehicle and the investigation is ongoing, said an OPP spokesperson Friday morning.
The crash shut down one lane of the highway until about 10:30 p.m. for investigation and vehicle removal.
