This Saturday, March 30, 2024, the Cobourg Library as well as Gores Landing and Bewdley branches will open their seed libraries for the season. In addition, the Cobourg branch will host a plant swap where you can bring in a plant and swap it for something different.
The library’s Rachel Spence told us more about the seed library.
Rachel said the event is a great place to get more information about what works and what doesn’t for gardeners old and new.
According to the Spence, it’s become a fun social event for those with a green thumb.
And gardeners will also be able to take advantage of the opening of the seed library where you can “borrow” seeds in the spring and return seeds at the end of the season.
Spence told us it’s a great way to get your garden started for free.
So drop by with a plant, have a coffee and learn more about gardening from some local experts.
The Plant Swap runs from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and you can bring in extra clippings and plant propagations to swap with others and check out the seed library for something new to plant in your garden this year.
