During a recent hospital visit for a benign prostate enlargement it was identified that the 75-year-old monarch has been diagnosed with a form of cancer.
The statement (A statement from Buckingham Palace | The Royal Family) from Buckingham Palace didn’t identify what type of cancer, but said King Charles III will continue to attend to State business and official paperwork as usual and that His Majesty remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.
King Charles will celebrate his first year on the throne in May.
