Get ready for back to back weekends of Snowmobile and UTV Racing action at the Lindsay Exhibition Grounds.
Professional Snowcross Racers will return to the City Of Kawartha Lakes on January 27 & 28, and again on February 3 & 4.
The Canadian Snowcross Racing organization (CSRA) has brought in a snow guns to produce extra snow for the annual FXR Kawartha Cup Snowcross Races and with some extra snow they’re trucked in from snowplow operations, they’re ready to go.
CSRA Race Director Ken Avann told us what to expect.
There’ll be a full field of racers coming in for the first national Snowcross race of the year. UTV Side by Side racers will also get their chance to tear up the track on both race weekends on Saturdays after the sled racing is complete.
Avann told us there’ll be 18 classes of competition including a new division for kids.
Snowcross racing classes start with a kid’s division for 4-10-year-old racing on miniature snowmobiles and proceed to classes for Novice kids, Juniors Boys & Girls, Trail Sport classes for first time racers, plus Sport and Pro classes. Kids and amateur racing start at 9:00 AM on both Saturday & Sunday.
Ken told us it’s high adrenaline action from start to finish.
The Lindsay Exhibition facility features a heated 40,000 sq. ft. building for food, beverage and vendor displays so you can take a break from the cold and a big plus is that parking is free!
