Deputy Mayor Todd Attridge led last night’s Council and he moved things along efficiently in the Mayor’s absence.
Youth Council representation was tabled for further discussion with councillors Holloway Wadhwani, Andrews and Mink all looking for more details on strategy, timing and age requirements.
Also discussed were Walton Street bump-outs potential use for tables and seating was discussed as were options for advanced green and left-hand turn options.
The Committee of the Whole received a delegation from the Northumberland Manufacturers’ Association regarding How Its Made, an Open House taking place at select manufacturers in Port Hope, Cobourg and Campbellford on April 22. For more details, you can visit howitsmadenorthumberland.ca
Changes to dog licensing are in the works as Port Hope joins many neighbouring municipalities implementing the DocuPet Dog Licensing Program. Staff reported they anticipate higher compliance numbers – last year that number was less than 300 licensed dogs.
