Kim Bennet and Kristin Hanley
We’d like to introduce you to Kristin Hanley, a Rockstar Employee with Notre Dame Catholic School
When Kim Bennett nominated Hanley she wrote, “Kristin is an amazing mom, friend and teacher. She teaches kindergarten at Notre Dame and I have the privilege of working with her everyday”.
Bennett told us that this was the first year the two teachers have worked together. According to her, Kristin is a constant warm presence in the classroom, ready in equal measure with a hug for a child or in Kim’s case, a hot chocolate for a friend who is maybe not having the best day.
This year Hanley returned to kindergarten as her own daughter was moving up to the grade one class where Kristin previously been teaching and so they needed to switch. Initially she was hesitant even though she had taught kindergarten for four years at a previous school. This year marked a return to in-person learning on top of a new class, but Kristin says it has been great. She says it’s been a nice change, parents have been great to work with and she credits working with Kim as the icing on the cake as she’s been a tremendous co-worker to share the load with and a Rockstar in her own right.
In Kristin’s experience, all of the educators she’s come across in her career are Rockstars for all that they do to support and nurture the students they’re responsible for.
