We’d like to introduce you to Cameron Davidson, a Rockstar Employee with Clark’s Dale Road Variety.
Cameron has been working at Clark’s Variety for 3 years now. He said he started right at the start of the pandemic, and with all the liquor stores closing for a short time many people came to the store to get it there. That meant it became very busy very fast.
Cameron said he does his best to make sure customers are treated excellently, going out of his way to give them the best service he can manage. He also tries to strike up a conversation with a lot of people he sees in the store regularly and as a result he’s made a lot of friends just by talking and being friendly.
He said it’s very important to make sure customers know you’ll go the extra mile to get them exactly what they need, or to order in something they’re looking for.
“It’s all about the extra service,” Cameron said. “With a smile hopefully.”
When it comes to what makes someone a good employee, he said being reliable and personable are key traits to success in a retail business. He added that if you treat any business as if it were your own, it allows you to have a good attitude and make you a better worker.
