The folks at North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) are helping us keep track of the big guy during his adventure around the world.
Sgt. Major James Porterfield explained how they put all of their technology and manpower to work to make sure they track St. Nick’s every move.
It is NORAD’s job to protect the airspace to ensure Santa makes all of his stops across North America.
Even though Santa uses magic to fly, that doesn’t stop NORAD, as they have all of the equipment necessary to track him and his reindeers.
The team at NORAD doesn’t keep this information secret, families across North America are able to follow along to see Mr. Claus’s location all night.
NORAD has been tracking Santa each Christmas Eve since 1955.
