A Port Hope family is looking for a new home after fire destroyed a large portion of a house on Lavinia Street.
According to Northumberland County Breaking News Feed, the fire broke out just after 2am on Saturday.
Once fire crews arrived, flames could reportedly be seen shooting through the roof along with some heavy smoke.
Two adults, two dogs and a cat all made it out safely, while four other occupants, with three of them being under 4 years old, were thankfully not home at the time of the fire.
A GoFundMe has been set up to support the family, who lost everything in the fire.
