David Piccini, MPP for Northumberland-Peterborough South was joined by Mandy Martin, Deputy Warden of Northumberland County; Susan Walsh, President and CEO of Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH), and members of the NHH team, for the announcement just over $1.1 million dollars of funding for the hospital.
It’s a welcome injection to NHH who like many hospitals in Ontario, have felt financial pressure as a result of COVID-19.
MPP Piccini delivered the news with a special thanks to front line staff.
Northumberland Hills Hospital President and CEO, Susan Walsh told attendees just how critical this funding is to NHH and the staff that’ve been there supporting Northumberland throughout the pandemic.
Walsh is hopeful that this support will be continued through this prolonged pandemic.
Deputy Warden of Northumberland County, Mandy Martin delivered heart felt praise for the hospital.
The revenue announced today was received in January for fiscal year 2020/2021 and it is already benefitting care at NHH.
