Wham Bam Burger, Home to Slammin’ Good Eats, opened in downtown Colborne late this summer.
Owners Kim Etherington and Sam Tkalec wanted to add something new to the local dining scene and they considered a variety of different food selections but in the end they always came back to burgers.
“The goal was to take the burger experience to a higher level. To transform what most people see as a predictable culinary experience, to a superior one,” said Kim Etherington. “We thoughtfully consider every ingredient and use only locally sourced grass-fed beef and other local suppliers.”
While Kim and Sam, also a local realtor team, are more about the business end of Wham Bam Burger, but they have assembled a team that is focused on the consistent delivery of quality eats.
“The name of the restaurant will be known to locals, it is the tagline of realty office, Wham Bam, Sold by Kim and Sam!” said Sam Tkalec.
They also wanted to include additional menu options, like a chicken sandwich, hot dogs, french fries, onion rings, wraps, wings, soup and chili, so they could meet the needs of customers with unique tastes or dietary restrictions.
“We didn’t want to just throw in a vegan and gluten-free option because it was necessary,” added Etherington. “We have applied the same principles of local quality ingredients to everything created.”
Vegan options include Beyond Meat Burgers as well as in-house made patties. Special vegan and gluten-free sauces and buns as well.
