The Town of Cobourg has decided that the Victoria beach will be open on weekdays but not on weekends and holidays. Despite Cobourg’s decision to limit the days the beach can be used the Port Hope beach is open 7 days a week and this has given people an option.
Port Hope Mayor Bob Sanderson had this to say about the beach being open.
Sanderson also wants to remind beach users to always pick up any litter on the beach to keep it clean for everyone so that all can enjoy.
