There is a virtual summit to discuss the future of nuclear waste in Canada.
The Nuclear Waste Management Organization is hosting the Canadian Radioactive Waste Summit that runs this week until tomorrow (Apr.1st).
The summit aims to develop a strategy to deal with the long-term storage of low and intermediate waste.
NWMO’s Strategic Project Director Karine Glenn says they want to bring in groups from different sectors to find common ground and help develop that strategy.
Glenn says there will be a panel of guest speakers from across Canada and around the world over the course of the three days.
