The new Northumberland United Way campaign has officially launched.
It was kicked off Saturday (Sept 21) during the 20th annual Challenge the Dragon Boat Festival, and we spoke with executive director, Bobbie Dawson, after the announcement.
Dawson says the need is ever growing and every year, there are unmet needs, which makes every dollar crucial.
The spokesperson for the 2019 campaign is Diane Saunders, who is a huge advocate for United Way, with a passion for the 211 program.
Last year’s campaign benefitted 26,375 people, which equates to 1 in 3 residents of Northumberland County.
