Local health authorities will play a role in the collection of data in Ontario – related to the possible health consequences of vaping.
The province has ordered all public hospitals to provide the Chief Medical Officer of Health with statistical information related to incidences of vaping-related severe pulmonary disease.

The health minister says the information collected will be critical in identify what the government calls “evidence-based solutions” that protect youth from the potential dangers of vaping.
