A Trent Hills woman has been charged with mischief after police say she admitted to slashing the tires of two vehicles.
According to the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), officers received a report on March 24 about damage to two vehicles on a private property. Police say the complainant believed the tires had been slashed by their ex-partner’s new partner, allegedly out of jealousy.
An OPP officer contacted the suspect, who initially denied the allegations. However, police say the woman later called the same officer and admitted to the mischief.
As a result, a 38-year-old Trent Hills woman was arrested and charged with mischief under $5,000. She is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough at a later date.
