For the third consecutive year, Port Hope’s Candlelight Festival and Arts Festival have earned a spot on the Festivals & Events Ontario (FEO) Top 100 list. The prestigious honour highlights these signature events as outstanding examples of excellence, based on their impact on the community, uniqueness, economic contributions, and overall popularity.
“This recognition truly reflects the dedication and creativity of our community,” said Olena Hankivsky, Mayor of Port Hope. “We owe this achievement to the hard work of our municipal staff, community partners, and volunteers, who help make these events a success.”
The FEO’s Top 100 list is compiled from submissions received in the fall of 2024 and judged by an independent panel of experts. The selection features a range of festivals and events, from local community celebrations to internationally recognized occasions.
Port Hope’s Arts Festival will take place on August 9, 2025, while the Candlelight Festival will return with its popular Candlelight Walk on November 28, 2025. These festivals continue to draw visitors from near and far, celebrating the region’s artistic and cultural vibrancy.
