Port Hope’s Environmental Advisory Committee is inviting residents to its first-ever Sustainability Expo, an event showcasing local efforts to promote eco-friendly practices and green innovation.
The free event will take place on Sunday, April 27, at Port Hope High School from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will feature community groups, environmental organizations, and local businesses sharing ways to support a more sustainable future.
“The Sustainability Expo is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together, share knowledge, and learn from one another about practical and innovative ways to support a more sustainable future,” said Councillor Claire Holloway Wadhwani, chair of the Environmental Advisory Committee.
Attendees can explore interactive displays, participate in expert-led discussions, and engage with local sustainability advocates. Topics will include sustainable gardening, energy conservation, waste reduction, and green infrastructure.
Wadhwani encourages residents to attend and explore how small lifestyle changes can collectively make a big environmental impact.
The event is designed to inspire action by highlighting how community-driven initiatives can address environmental challenges using nature-based solutions.
