
A Cobourg man is facing several charges after allegedly threatening a staff member at a local business.
Cobourg Police say officers were called to a downtown business on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at approximately 2:40 p.m. following a report of an unwanted person.
According to police, the man had been asked to leave by staff but refused and allegedly threatened to kill the employee.
As a result of their investigation, police arrested a 33-year-old Cobourg man and charged him with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, along with four counts of failing to comply with probation.
The accused was held in custody pending a Show Cause Hearing.
Police remind the public to report any concerning incidents to authorities by calling 9-1-1 in emergencies or the non-emergency line for less urgent matters.
