Two people from Trent Hills were arrested after police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in Cramahe Township earlier this week.
On March 10, 2025, at approximately 2:15 p.m., Northumberland OPP received a report about a pickup truck that appeared to be stuck in the snow on Pogue Road. Officers arrived and found the described vehicle with two occupants inside.
Police say the individuals were not injured or in distress. However, further investigation revealed that both were wanted on outstanding warrants related to incidents from April 2023.
A 47-year-old Trent Hills resident has been charged with unlawfully being in a dwelling house. The accused is scheduled to appear in court in Cobourg at a later date.
A 36-year-old Trent Hills resident faces several charges, including two counts of unlawfully entering a dwelling house, mischief, and breach of probation. This individual was held for a bail hearing.
Northumberland OPP are reminding residents that they remain committed to ensuring public safety through proactive policing and community partnerships.
