Janet Kyle is the Royal Canadian Legion President of Branch 133 in Cobourg. It was a position that she accepted following the encouragement of several members of the club.
The Royal Canadian Legion (RCL) is Canada’s largest veterans’ service organization, dedicated to supporting veterans, promoting remembrance, and serving communities. It was founded in 1925 to assist returning First World War soldiers and has since expanded to support all who have served in the Canadian Armed Forces, their families, and the broader community.
Kyle tells us that membership is open to everyone, not just veterans.
If you value supporting veterans, honouring Canada’s military history, and engaging with your community, Kyle says the Legion offers many meaningful ways to give back. Membership helps sustain vital programs and ensures that veterans and their families receive the support they deserve.
