Testing is underway to determine the future of Grafton Arena

Phase one of exploratory work to see if the ice season at Grafton Arena can be saved got underway on Friday, October 4, 2024.

Alnwick/Haldimand Township Chief Administrative Officer Dave Dawson tells us a refrigeration company is looking at the leaking pipes.

Dawson says they have some options.

Above all says Dawson, they remain positive.

Dawson says the needs assessment aims to address and answer the questions of what does a community the size of Alnwick/Haldimand need.

The work beginning today to identify how serious the problem is was made possible by a donation of $85,000 to the community.
