Northumberland OPP say they are calling on the public for help after a purse was stolen at a Brighton business.
Police issued a plea for the public’s help on Tuesday, Oct. 1, saying the alleged theft happened back on Sept. 10, 2024.
“The victim reported the theft of a purse containing Canadian currency while in a commercial premises on Elizabeth Street in Brighton,” said OPP.
On Tuesday, OPP said they’re looking to identify two females who are sought in connection to the ongoing investigation and released images of the individuals.
Police are asking anyone who knows the identity of these individuals or anyone with further information relating to this investigation to contact the Brighton OPP Detachment at 613-475-1313 or the non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122. Police provided a reference occurrence number of E241215578.
Crime Stoppers is another option and is anonymous by calling 1-800-222-8477 or visiting www.ontariocrimestoppers.ca. You will not testify in court and your information may lead to a cash reward of up to $2,000, added police.
