This summer, join friends, family, and neighbours at Memorial Park for Port Hope’s ‘Movies in the Park’ series.
Starting June 30, you can enjoy free outdoor screenings of family favourites every Wednesday at dusk. The series opens with the animated hit “The Lego Movie,” setting a fun and vibrant tone for the weeks ahead.
The thoughtfully curated movie lineup reflects Port Hope’s journey through the downtown reconstruction, highlighting themes of construction, community spirit, and overcoming challenges. Films like “Holes” and “Trolls Band Together” resonate with the collective effort of supporting local businesses and rebuilding stronger together.
Each movie night is a perfect opportunity to relax under the stars. Bring your own snacks or enjoy treats from local vendors. In case of rain, the screenings will be moved to the Fall Fair Centre at 62 McCaul Street. For updates and reminders, follow the Facebook event page.
Mark your calendars for a summer of cinematic fun, beginning with “The Lego Movie” on June 30, followed by “Holes” on July 10, and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” for a Christmas in July on July 24. The series continues with “Elemental” on August 7 and wraps up with “Trolls Band Together” on August 21.
Come early, explore downtown Port Hope, and enjoy a summer of movies under the stars in Port Hope!
