The 2024 Northumberland Spirit Awards, presented by Cobourg KIA, brought together the community to celebrate the best people, businesses, attractions, and events as voted by the listeners of Oldies 100.9 in Brighton as well as Classic Rock 107.9 and 93.3 myFM in Cobourg.
The Northumberland Spirit Awards is our annual celebration that recognizes the essence and excellence of our vibrant community.
Taking home the award for Best Pet Food & Supplies for the fourth year and Northumberland’s Best Boss was Justin McClenaghan of Justin’s Pet Store.
We caught up with Justin at the store and asked for his reaction to being named best boss.
This year, we celebrated the return to a live, in-person event at the Cobourg Lions Community Centre. We were thrilled with the amount of nominations and votes we received – thousands of listeners made their voices heard.
Ingersoll Petroleum Services Ltd. was the winner for the Northumberland Business of the Year Award
Rod Ingersol was very surprised at his company’s win.
In the Healthcare Service category, Physiotherapist Theo Barker from the Northumberland Family Health Team took home the award.
Barker told us he was thrilled to win and even more pleased with his team’s representation.
