Ike Nwibe takes the hot seat at Transition House as the organization gets ready to move to 310 Division Street, Cobourg.
Executive Director Nwibe holds over 15 years of experience in development work. His interest in community work piqued when he began volunteering in different local and international initiatives. While working in Toronto, Nwibe details working in housing administration organizations that made joining Transition House an eager decision.
Audio PlayerNwibe told us about his arrival to Cobourg. He says he quickly took to witnessing how the community is affected by homelessness, saying there is a lot of overlap to similar situations he’s worked in. He says the problems communities face come from universal challenges.
