Northumberland residents 55 and older are invited to a special community event tailored for seniors, hosted by YMCA Northumberland in collaboration with OACAO and supported by the Government of Ontario.
The Y’s Kim Jaye told us that the event is once again free to attend.
The Fair will take place from 10 am to 2 pm at the Cobourg Y and promises a diverse array of vendors offering services and activities geared towards adults aged 55 and above.
Jaye told us the Fair will provide a wealth of info for seniors.
Explore topics such as Retirement Living, Finance & Legal Services, Mental Health, and Sports & Fitness while enjoying demonstrations and entertainment like a Fashion Show.
Plus, attendees will be treated to a light complimentary lunch.
Check out the complete list of vendors and their offerings here: Vendor List (ymcanrt.org)
According to Kim, one of the highlights will be a demonstration by a local chiropractor and acupuncture.
A demonstration will be given by Dr. Dave Kim, DC who is a chiropractor and acupuncture provider at Port Hope Sports and Rehabilitation Centre. Dr. Kim has a keen clinical interest in improving human movement and uses a combination of manual therapy, corrective exercise, and patient education to create sustainable solutions for musculoskeletal complaints.
Another highlight of the day will be professional comedian Clifford Myers with over 14 years of experience and founder of The Other Comedy Company. He specializes in live-events and team building excursions. Clifford has been featured on Just For Laughs Toronto, SiriusXM, Mirvish, TSN, MTV, NXNE, Evolve, Core Entertainment and Fantasia International Film Festival as well as worked fundraisers for organizations like ME to WE and The Terry Fox Foundation.
