Four new faces from Northumberland Hills Hospital are joining the community.
At NHH’s latest meeting, the board of directors welcomed four Community Members that will play a vital role in gathering input for succession planning.
NHH says this follows after they launched an initiative to attract potential volunteers. The response was substantial, much like the previous year.
After conducting interviews, the NHH Board of Directors selected Laina Andrews, Mary-Ann Cocchetto, Randall Freeborn, and Carol Anne Bell-Smith as the newest Community Members. Their orientation was completed over the summer, with the October meeting marking their first full Board meeting.
Elizabeth Selby, NHH Board Chair, expressed her delight in welcoming these new members, highlighting that they join the largest team of Community Member representatives in the NHH Board’s history. She emphasized the importance of diverse teams in decision-making and commended each Community Member for their unique strengths and their commitment to supporting NHH’s quality and growth.
Laina Andrews, from Cobourg, brings extensive experience in education and governance to the NHH Board’s Quality and Safety and Facilities and Campus Development Committees.
Mary-Ann Cocchetto, based in Port Hope, combines over 25 years of legal and public sector leadership experience and serves on the NHH Board’s Governance and Quality and Safety Committees.
Randall Freeborn, hailing from Baltimore, boasts over 30 years of expertise in human resources management and business strategy. He contributes to the NHH Board’s Quality and Safety and Facilities and Campus Development Committees.
Carol Anne Bell-Smith, residing in Cobourg, holds a diverse background in healthcare, management consulting, and the arts. She actively participates in the NHH Board’s Quality and Safety and Finance and Audit Committees.
