Got a sweet tooth? Want to support a good cause? The Scott Family of Codrington is operating their 3rd Annual Charity Bake Sale on Sunday, September 3rd, 2022 from 10:00 until 12:00 noon in support of Quinte West Adopt-A-Child.
We met the Scott Family at our recent “All Hands on Deck” food drive in Brighton when they made donations to support Brighton Fare Share and being charitable is definitely a continuing family tradition.
“Each year we choose a different charity that means something to our family,” said Melissa Scott. “I remember my Mom collecting money at work for Adopt-A-Child and we would go to the store to purchase items for them and we wanted our children to continue this tradition.”
Melissa told us she was inspired by her mother, who was a strong supporter of Adopt-a-Child.
Eleven-year-old Whitney told us about the charity they’re supporting this year.
For over 32 years, the Quinte West Adopt-A-Child program has worked with local businesses and the Quinte West community to provide indoor clothing for children in need each Christmas.
“We will have cupcakes and cookies and lots of baking for sale,” said Whitney Scott – 11 years old. “We are kids helping kids. My favourite are the chocolate cupcakes.”
Whitney has been helping out with the baking and told us what to expect.
Stop by the Scott’s 3rd Annual Charity Bake Sale to support the Quinte West Adopt-A-Child program. The sale takes place on Sunday, September 3rd, 2023 from 10:00 to 12:00 noon at the Scott’s home at 8 Fieldcrest Court in Codrington.
