The Concert Band of Cobourg celebrated their 180th anniversary by flooding Victoria Park in red.
Fans showed up to the weekly Summer Concert Series wearing red attire to celebrate The Concert Band’s birthday with the band prompting the audience by saying, “We want to be able to look out from the bandshell and see a sea of red!”
Beforehand, they’d challenged the audience to “Paint the park Red” and even sold anniversary t-shirts to honour the occasion.
August 29 marks their last concert series for their 180th year. That will be held at 7:30 p.m. a Victoria park– Weather permitting.
