A Canadian singer-songwriter legend is being remembered today.
The tributes for Gordon Lightfoot are pouring in after his death yesterday.
Tom Cochrane calls Lightfoot an inspiration, and one of Canada’s “seminal cultural artists” and “a heck of a nice guy.”
Bryan Adams tweeted he is “gutted” knowing Lightfoot is gone, adding “the world is a lesser place without him.”
Sentiments like those have been echoed by many, including Jan Arden, Actor Ben Stiller, and many fans who took to Twitter to thank Lightfoot for being an inspiration.
Some of his decades-old hits include If You Could Read My Mind, Sundown and Summer Side of Life.
Lightfoot died last night of natural causes at Toronto’s Sunnybrook Hospital at the age of 84.
