Transition House Emergency Shelter, the local homeless shelter providing short term emergency housing for adults throughout Northumberland, has announced plans to undergo an organization stabilization strategy.
They’ll take on the plan over the next six months, and it will focus on five key milestones.
Those include Board Recruitment, recruiting a new Executive Director, Establishing a Culture of Wellness and Engagement for staff, and undergoing a service review.
They’ve already made some progress by adding Rev. Neil Ellis to the board, as well as Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Northumberland, Meaghan Macdonald, and Alison Lester, Principal at Lester and Associates.
