As of today, the Town of Cobourg will officially have a fire chief.
Ellard Beaven, formerly the interim fire chief, will assume the role of Fire Chief for the Cobourg Fire Department.
Beaven previously served as the Deputy Fire Chief with the Timmins Fire Department and served on many firefighting advisory boards.
As Interim Fire Chief, Beaven has managed the ongoing renovations to the Cobourg Fire Department.
The Town of Cobourg plans to hold an open house to tour the updated facility as well as attend a formal swearing in ceremony for Beaven at a later date.
