This week is National Fire Prevention Week.
Port Hope Fire would like to remind everyone that simple actions can keep us safe from home fires.
Fire Chief Jeff Ogden says you need to “Have a plan for everyone in the home. Children, older adults, and those who may need assistance to wake up and get out.”
On Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m there’ll be an Open House and you can check out the firetrucks, get fire safety information and enjoy a free BBQ.
The Open House is taking place at all three fire stations.
So take a few minutes this week and develop, plan, and practice your home fire escape plan.
