The Town of Cobourg has introduced new online e-permitting software.
The Planning & Development Division has introduced Cloudpermit, an online e-permitting software system to apply for and track building permits.
This software allows users to apply for their building permits, manage and track their documents and request inspections.
According to Dave Hancock, Cobourg’s Chief Building Official the software allows close to real time access to the permitting and approval process.
Hancock told us that the new system will allow inspectors to have needed information available to them at all times.
Hancock also said that even those without a mobile device can reap the benefits of being online.
The Cloudpermit software is already in use by many of our neighbouring municipalities.
