Preparations are continuing ahead of the 30th anniversary of Dr. Roberta Bondar becoming the first Canadian woman in space.
As a Canadian astronaut, neurologist and consultant Bondar was Canada’s first female astronaut and the first neurologist in space.
Bondar flew on the NASA space shuttle Discovery on January 22–30, 1992, during which she performed over 40 experiments in the spacelab.
