Kevin Hakkesteegt manages the new Dulux Paints store on Queen Street in Campbellford that he and his business partner, Luke Vanden Bosch, recently opened.
“Campbellford has always been on a radar,” said Hakkesteegt. “I grew up in Brighton and my family has a cottage in the area, so Campbellford is very familiar to me. When our Trenton store started to take off, we decided to expand and chose Campbellford because it’s booming and bustling with new building projects.
Hakkesteegt and Vanden Bosch opened their first paint store three years ago in Trenton.
“We love to solve paint problems,” said Hakkesteegt. “We work with both local contractors and homeowners. We can match colours easily and give advice on the type of paint that you need. Our brands like the Lifemaster Line and Diamond Distinction provide both quality coverage, durability and wash-ability at great prices.”
CAA members receive a 25% off discount on paints and they are also bringing U-Haul truck and trailer rentals to Campbellford and will soon be available to organize through the Dulux Paints store.
“We operate U-Haul in Trenton as well and wanted to replicate our business here too. The United Church is renting us some space to park vehicles and we will soon be taking orders for truck and equipment rentals too,” added Hakkesteegt.
The owners are excited to join the Trent Hills business community.
“Everybody in the community has been so welcoming for us here,” said Hakkesteegt. “We are looking forward to being a part of the community.”
The store is located 16 Queen Street, Unit 2B in downtown Campbellford. Hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
