As a woman of influence Mandy Martin has been a sitting member of County Council since 2018, when she was first elected Mayor of the Township of Cramahe.
Raised primarily in Gore’s Landing on the south shore of Rice Lake, Mayor Martin attended Plainville public school and learned a lot of her approach to learning from her mother who was a botanist herself.
Now a resident of Colborne, Mayor Martin has worked in Central America and has a B.A. from Queen’s University in history and psychology. Her volunteer activities include being the past Vice President of Northumberland United Way, board member of Northumberland Children’s Aid Society, Northumberland Big Sisters, the Royal Canadian Legion Colborne and more.
Mayor Martin has over 40 years’ experience as a communications and marketing professional, including nearly a decade working with Ontario Hydro before shifting to an extensive career in journalism.
Determined to make a difference in her community she loves to see Cramahe township flourish.
