Now that sports on the professional and high amateur levels will be allowed to resume in Ontario, what does that mean for leagues like the Provincial Junior Hockey League?
North Conference Manager Doug Kennedy tells MBC that they have not heard from Hockey Canada or the Ontario Hockey Federation (the two official governing bodies of the sport) about what the plan is to return to play.
The PJHL did have a plan in place in the event there was a season in 2020-2021.
Kennedy says he is excited about the prospects of having a season this fall.
Kennedy says they hope teams will be allowed to have spectators in the stands as it is a source of revenue and teams can’t afford to take a loss if they have to play in an empty arena.
