The MPP for Northumberland-Peterborough South has been given a major portfolio.
As part of a Cabinet shuffle today by Premier Doug Ford, David Piccini has been named the Minister of Environment.
Piccini replaces Jeff Yurek.
Another major change is Rod Phillips being named new minister of long-term care. Phillips left his role as finance minister after travelling to St. Barts in December.
Former long-term care minister Merrillee Fullerton is going to moved to the head of children, community and social services.
Health Minister Christine Elliott, Education Minister Steven Lecce, Solicitor General Sylvia Jones, Attorney General Doug Downey and Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy remain in their prominent positions.
