Here’s music to the ears if cutting the lawn is not your idea of how to spend a long weekend. The Nature Conservancy of Canada suggests park the lawnmower for the month of May.
It’s called No Mow May and it’s a way to help wild pollinators do their thing to benefit nature. Just think, by letting wildflowers and dandelions bloom this month, you’re providing an important source of nectar and pollen for wild bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects.
After all, lawns are one of the largest green spaces in towns and cities.
Don’t feel like cutting the grass? No need for excuses. Just say, ‘I’m celebrating No Mow May.’
