Staffing is being increased at a number of correction centres in Ontario.
The more than 90 new hires who are are recent graduates, will staff provincial facilities including at the Quinte Detention Centre.
The province says this is the first group of recruits to receive compensation while training, in order to reduce barriers to employment.
