Cobourg Police are focusing on stop sign violations this month, as part of the (STEP) Selective Traffic Enforcement Project.
Officers will be focusing on enforcement and community education in Cobourg, helping to ensure that all drivers/cyclists come to a complete stop at each stop sign. Officers say penalties include: three demerit points and an $85 fine (fines increase to $150 in community safety zones.)
Police say to always be alert, watching for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.
