Want to still get outdoors but find the Stay-at-Home Order a bit confusing when it comes to parks, trails and playgrounds?…Emily Chorley, Councillor and Coordinator of Parks & Recreation for the Town of Cobourg, says they are all still open.
Maybe you want to go to the dog park…Chorley says it is open but they will continue to review.
Chorley ends by saying that the town knew it was important for people to get outside and exercise – both for physical and mental health but says masks should also be worn when physically distancing can not be maintained, even while outdoors.
Also, the Rotary Harbourfront Outdoor Rink will reopen Saturday (Jan 16) but now requires skaters to wear a non-medical mask to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19. Bookings consist of a 45-minute time slot and you can register each member of your household online by visiting www.cobourg.ca/outdoor-rink.
Chorley says you can always stay up date by visiting cobourg.ca.
